Heart Disease
Heart disease refers to a group of conditions that affect the heart's structure and function, making it one of the leading causes of death globally. The most common type is coronary artery disease (CAD), which occurs when the arteries supplying blood to the heart become narrowed or blocked due to a buildup of plaque (cholesterol and fatty deposits). This can lead to serious complications like heart attacks, heart failure, and arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats).
